The growing proportion of office-based work in our modern service economy is generating a variety of approaches to workspace design: be it standard arrays of cubicles, or work cafes, a business club or an open plan arranged for group work. How is architecture reacting to these developments, should it react at all? How might facades, building technology, interiors and furniture contribute? How will people want to work in the future?
